For Birth Givers Midwifery provides whole-person preconception, prenatal, birth, and postpartum midwifery care to people within a 1.5 hr radius of Birmingham, Alabama. This practice exists to give compassionate, trauma-informed, identity-affirming services to all who seek care. We are a LGBTQ+ allied practice and welcome people of all cultures, colors, orientations, religions, family structures, ages, and body types. We are committed to the work of anti-racism both personally and professionally and believe black bodies and birth matter. We support in word and deed the training and vocational calling of midwives and birth workers of color, and we are dedicated to the decolonization of birth work, informed consent, shared decision-making, and mutual respect always.
